Nervous System Reset FAQs

Here are answers to the most common questions about your nervous system, RESET meditations, herbal support, and concierge acupuncture.

Q: What is the Concierge Acupuncture experience like? Can I meditate during my session?
A: During your Concierge Acupuncture session, you also have the option to include a guided meditation. This helps you feel more grounded, centered, and deeply relaxed, with relief from stress as your treatment unfolds. We’ll set the space so you can fully drop in and restore your nervous system.

Q: Do acupuncture needles hurt?
A: Most people are surprised by how gentle acupuncture is. The needles are very thin—nothing like a shot. You may feel a quick pinch, a dull ache, warmth, or a heavy sensation that fades within seconds. Many people feel deeply relaxed once the needles are in.

Q: Is bruising or a little bleeding normal after acupuncture?
A: Yes, it can be. Occasionally, a tiny drop of blood appears when a needle is removed, or you may notice a small bruise later. This is usually mild, temporary, and not a cause for concern. If you’re prone to bruising or on blood thinners, just let me know in advance.

Q: What if I feel lightheaded during or after my session?
A: Some people feel lightheaded, floaty, or “spacey” after acupuncture—especially if they’re new to it, came in very stressed, or haven’t eaten recently. If this happens, we’ll take our time: you can rest on the table longer, sit up slowly, and have some water or a small snack before you leave.

Q: Is it normal to feel sleepy or extra relaxed afterward?
A: Absolutely. Acupuncture can deeply calm the nervous system, so it’s common to feel sleepy, heavy, or very relaxed afterward. Many people sleep better that night. If possible, plan your day so you don’t have to rush right back into something intense.

Q: Is there anything I should avoid after acupuncture?
A: After your session, try to:

  • Stay hydrated
  • Avoid heavy workouts or alcohol right away
  • Give yourself a little time to rest and integrate how you feel

Gentle movement, a light walk, or quiet time at home often helps your body get the most from your treatment.

Q: How does the online herbal consultation work?
A: Herbal support is completely optional and can be done online or by phone. You’ll first fill out a detailed health intake form. I review your health history and current symptoms, and then we meet to go over everything together.

After your consultation, you’ll receive an email within 24–48 hours with:

  • Personalized tips
  • A simple health protocol plan for diet, lifestyle, and exercises
  • Classical herbal formulas prescribed specifically for you, with clear instructions on how to take the herbs

If herbs are recommended, you can choose local pickup or have them mailed to you. If you choose shipping, you’ll cover the cost of postage.

“Please note: herbal consultations can be held online or by phone, based on your level of comfort.”
